Rajyasabha chairman appoints personal staff to standing committees

Vice president and Rajya Sabha chairman appointed 8 members of his personal staff to 20 committees that come under the ambit of Rajya Sabha secretariat. The move has raised eyebrows since, in the past, there have been no such precedents of additional ring of appointments to an already existing fully-functional committee.
