Artificial intelligence : Opportunity or Threat

Artificial intelligence in simple words can be described as performing tasks such as visual perception, speech, recognition ,translation between different languages and decision making .

AI has the potential to bring out numerous positive changes into the society, including enhance productivity, improved healthcare, and increased access to education. On the other hand it is being considered as a destructive force when it comes to the future of Jobs. 

According to a goldman sachs report, AI could replace 300 million full-time jobs in the next 10yrs .Jobs like receptionist, accountants, sales people, research and analysis team ,warehousing work, insurance underwriting, retail are all going to be replaced by AI.

However there are certain industries which AI will not be able to threaten and will not be prone to disruption. Teachers , lawyers and judges, directors, CEOs, psychiatrist and psychologist ,surgeons &artists will always remain in demand.Workers with specialised skills and knowledge will command the upper hand in jobs.

Industries like Healthcare, BFSI , logistics cyber security & defence are going to be the major beneficiaries of AI.It brings in efficiency and cost effectiveness. It lets people focus on more creative goals by automating tedious tasks

To survive In this era of artificial intelligence, it is essential to develop new soft skills and adapt to the technological changes .
